In the March of this year, the Australian government declared the koala an endangered species, as drought, bush fires, disease and habitat loss have drastically reduced the numbers of an animal that is an emblem of the country’s unique wildlife. As the plight of koala gained global attention in 2019 when bush fires raged over millions of acres in Australia, blackening the animal’s habitats. A report commissioned by the World WildlifeFund-Australia estimated that 60,000 koalas had been “killed, injured or affected in some way.”
The intensity and scale of the floods in Australia and China this year have shocked climate scientists, who did not expect records to be broken this much, over such a wide area or this soon.
The deadly heatwave in the Europe even the general northern countries recent years, where temperatures rose above 42.2C and even higher in every July. It has raised fears that human-caused climate disruption is making extreme weather even worse than predicted.
Climates scientists have long predicted that human emissions would cause more floods, heatwaves, droughts, storms and other forms of extreme weather, not only countries took amount of measures and policy to control but all of us and company also have the responsibility to do what we can do during daily-life for “sustainable”.
Garbage classification has been implemented in every corner of China. The purpose of garbage classification is to improve the resource value and economic value of garbage, strive to make the best use of everything, reduce the amount of garbage disposal and the use of disposal equipment, reduce disposal costs, and reduce the consumption of land resources.
We also have garbage classification in our factories to protect our environment.
2.Keep Recycling Right means your items are:
EMPTY. No or very little food residueremaining.
DRY. No liquids remaining. Liquids can ruin paper, cardboard and othermaterials in the recycle bin, making them unrecyclable.
LOOSE. Do not bag your recyclables; place them loose in the recycling bin.
3. Recycle Textiles
Second-hand clothing is often a much-needed commodity in developing countries, especially after a devastating natural disaster.
Many of the organizations that you may donate your used textiles to anyways, donate a portion of the textiles they receive to countries in need.
Then back to our daily working, what are the sustainable policy at D&J:

Making use of low energy light bulbs throughout, making it a practice to turn off lights when you leave a room that isn’t being used, ensuring that computers are shut down after work.
D&J offer dormitory to our workers, so 80% our workers walk to work. For other 20%workers, we also encourage them to cycle to work or to carpool.
Sustainability is everyone’s responsibility and we all need to work together to achieve an environmental-protection and balance able “RECYCLE” life!
